The Pac-Flat Reflector is a brilliant 2-piece aluminum “hat” that clicks together and slides over the top of your Candle Lantern, directing and focusing the light downward. A must if hanging your lantern.
I bought my first brass candle lantern in 1990 for backpacking and believe that this downward reflector is a must have item if you are going to be hanging your lantern above you. I found it much more useful than the side reflector. Back before smartphones and ebooks, I use to carry a paperback book with me on backpacking trips and I found that when using this reflector I had enough light to read while stretched out in my tent below it. Depending on your tent height, you may want a longer string to lower the lantern to insure you have enough light. Also works well camping where you can hang it up above your cooking area or over a picnic table or any other situation where you want most of the light below the lantern.
