ICE CREAM BALL RECIPES (PINT)
Note: Most of these recipes call for half-and-half. You can substitute cream for a richer, creamier dessert. Using whole or lowfat milk (or part milk and part half-and-half) produces a lighter, lower-fat ice cream, but takes longer to freeze.
Basic Vanilla Ice Cream
1 pint of Half & Half (1)
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/3 cup + 2 tablespoons sugar
(1) Using whole cream makes a richer creamier ice cream. Using part milk and half and half makes a lighter ice cream, but takes longer to freeze.
Yield: about a pint of smooth and creamy ice cream.
Mix all the ingredients together and put into the ice cream ball
Fill the ice portion of the ice cream ball with ice
Add 1/2 cup rock salt to the ice
Roll, spin, stir, toss, flip, and shake the ball around for 10 minutes
Open up the ice cream ball, stir, close ball
Drain some water from ice section, add more ice and salt.
Roll, spin, stir, toss, flip, and shake for another 10 minutes

Super fun surprise for the kids
Purchased this as a surprise for the kids (2 and 4) for our first camping trip of the season. Had them help mix the ingredients and place in the magic ball. Then passed it around for 20 minutes and boy were they loving the outcome!
Every camping trip now the kids make sure we have packed the magic ball!!!!
This was the best experience I have ever had. The ice cream ball worked like a charm! This product is my favorite of all the products I have used. I just want to sit on a lounge chair with my ice cream ball, and ice cream I made with my own two dirty dirty hands and look of into the sunset.
This is a simple was the most amazing thing I’ve ever used. It was so incredibly tasty.
HANDLE WITH CARE
This was fun while it lasted. Be sure that you are passing it around in a clear space though. We hit ours up against a table leg on the first night and cracked the sidewall, making our salty ice mixture leak out all over the carpet. Thought it would be a bit more robust than that, seeing as it was intended for use around the camp..
